Field Study #6

Image
November 28, 2023, 5:05 PM Present climate conditions: Sunny, dewy, brisk Temperature 38 Day length 9:20 Today I drove to my field study after theatre tryouts and I was on my way in and kicked up 4 doe (2 on the path and 2 in the field). What a great way to start the final field study! They ran but I managed to get a photo as they were leaving (posted below). Today was kind of a wet day. It snowed for 2 days straight and we had about 4 inches of snow maybe. Well, today warmed up a bit and that snow melted into 2 inches which cuased lots of mud on my walk in. Up in the stand I didn't really hear or see anything, and I relized the crop is looking a little bit more brown. The crop also seems to have reached a max hight at like 7 inches. Seeing those doe today really struck awe in me becuase it made me relize how close these little and not so little creature live to us. God made us to live with them, and sometimes we don't get to stop and witness God's creation all around us...

Field study #5

November 15, 2023, 8:00 AM Present climate conditions: Sunny, dewy, brisk Temperature 49 Day length 10:11 Today I went before school, early in the morning.  Most of the leaves had fallen since I last visited, but the rye was still growing strong. I think that the snow killed most of the trees and put an end to the leaves falling, but for some reason, the rye is still thriving and green. I heard some birds like always but didn't see any wildlife. Things here are kind of dry and I haven't been getting many pictures lately. Field Sketches:
